Evaluation.
Research:-
For my research, I looked at various photographers and film artists. I also researched decay, natural and urban .
Investigation:-
For my investigation work, I did numoreous of mind maps to get a creative mind and then I would be able to create interesting idea's that would work towards my final outcome.
Techniques / Workshops:-
For my workshop we went to the National Media Museum, at first I didn't think I was going to enjoy the expierance but during the day I really enjoyed it and wouldn't mind going back again. It also goes to show that it takes a lot of time and effort to make a trailer nevermind a full movie. I learnt a lot of things that day whilst I was there, for example the angle tricks that they do on the camera to make it look like a superhero is actually climing up the walls and also how to edit a movie trailer once you've put it in Imovie.
We got put into groups and we had to go off and shoot a trailer, edit it and then we had to show all the other individuals. Personally I think our movie trailer looked really good, and am still shocked that we did that all in a days work.
Idea Development:-
For my idea development, I made numerous of mind maps that helped me come to my final outcome. I wrote down which places had graffiti writing and then out of the places I choose on which were Old Lane. I had two idea's that were in my head which were taking different photographs of graffiti and placing them all together or an urban photo shoot. The reason why I didn't choose my first idea is because it was very time consuming and I different have a lot of time left. If I had more time then I would like to try and do that idea and see how it turns out.
Samples / Test Pieces:-
For my samples / test pieces I went to the location that I wanted to do my actual final design which were Old Lane, the samples that I took photographs of were the graffiti I wanted in my Final pieces. The other samples that I did for the project were Urban, Still life, Painting with light and Architectural.
My painting with light samples were amazing, I was very pleased with my results. I really liked doing these test pieces because they were different to what I have done before.
My urban samples were good and successful. I took an image of myself and and placed a texture over the image, this then made the photograph more appealing and it gave a more better understanding of urban environments.
My Architectural samples were not as good because, they wasn't my own photographs, I got them from google. If I produced my own images I think I would like them better. When we placed these photographs onto photoshop we used different techniques and different tools.
Design Development:-
Final Outcome:-
Strengths and Weaknesses:-
My weaknesses throughout this project would be to plan more because I only thought of this idea on the last week that we actually had to had it in for it to be marked. I think that in the next projects to come to come I should get a clear understanding of what I want to do for my final outcome. I think my strengths throughout this project was learning how to use photoshop and how to use all of the tools for example the mask tool, now that I know how to use the mask tool and can now use it in future for the rest of my projects and it will make my work look more interesting. To say its the first project and I didn't really know how to use photoshop at the beginning of the course, I am quite pleased with my final outcome and what I have produced in a week.
